Please join us for a morning of conservation work along the Chehalis River Discovery Trail. Helping to reinvigorate this critical habitat also ensures the newly planted trees will thrive.

During our time together, we’ll be placing protective shields around recently planted trees, cleaning up the areas around the trails, and removing invasive thistles & canary grass. Gloves and tools will be provided.

Parking/Directions/Where to Meet:

From Harrison Avenue in Centralia, turn onto Goodrich Road. Follow Goodrich Road & drive past the Water Treatment Plant (on your right). Continue driving towards the gate that approaches the trail. You’ll see signage for the Chehalis River Basin Land Trust Event, with arrows along the road pointing the way. As you curve along the gravel road, please drive slowly. You’ll see other volunteers and parking on the grass next to the old Red Barn. We’ll meet at the benches under the metal shelter on the west side of the barn.

**Important: Please do not take side roads through the neighboring farmer’s property.

Restrooms: Restrooms are available at the ‘normal’ traihead parking next to the Water Treatment Plant (there are no restrooms along the trail).
