Meet our new director — Donna. She is very active in Grays Harbor as musician and a climate advocate.

Donna is a retired Civil Engineer who fell in love with the rain forest, rivers, mountains and ocean beaches. She has two grown sons and 5 grandchildren.

I am naturalizing our backyard to attract native insects, and I enjoy taking photos of them.

President Pete H

Pete comes to the Land Trust with a simple idea — to plant trees. He teaches at the Nisqually Indian School and loves taking kids outdoors.

He believes the simple act of planting trees may be the most direct and impactful way any individual person can help the global effort to stave off climate change. By joining the Board, I am committing to working with everyone in the necessary work of helping the Chehalis River Basin be healthy.

Vice President Jan loves being outdoors to work and play. She excels at organizing and keeping the Trust busy. She has been with the Trust nearly 20 years and orients the newer directors to what we do and how we do it.

She represents the Land Trust at several partner organizations and together we make a big difference to the health of the basin.

Don is currently our secretary. His work history inlcudes the National Weather Service as a weather forecaster and flood hydrologist in Montana, Idaho, and Southeast Alaska.

He says he is a bit of an activist for climate change and finds being a Director for the Land Trust a way to make positive changes in the basin.
