Event Description
Every winter, the Chehalis Land Trust Team plants over 50 trees along the river at Discovery Trail to help support the reinvigoration of this critical habitat!
Please join our November 30th Work party at Chehalis River Discovery Trail to prepare the planting sites for the Winter 2024 tree group and place trees in their new homes along the riverfront.
Work will include removing invasive thistles, invasive canary grass, scouting tree locations, learning tree species, and digging and planting.
Where should I park?
The gate will be open so you may drive in along the curved road and park next to the big red barn, or you are welcome to park at the main Discovery Trail parking lot, about 1/2 mile before the trailhead if you’d like some extra mileage!
How will I find the group?
We’ll meet next to the old red barn under the covered area with benches!
What should I bring on this outing?
Comfortable footwear
Layers for rain and various weather conditions to stay cozy
Water, beverages and/or snacks
This event is free and open to the public! All ages are welcome, but children in attendance must be accompanied by an adult or parent.
