2017 Art Competition!
Theme: River Systems and Species of the Chehalis
Winners: Selected winners receive certificates, CRBLT gear, and have their work professionally printed and distributed throughout Lewis, Thurston, and Grays Harbor Counties!
Dates: Art Due June 5th, 2017
We want to promote knowledge about our river system here in the Chehalis River Basin. Winning designs will
become tools we use to aid our community in making decisions about how we treat our local lands, water, and wildlife. The Chehalis River Basin drains over 2,600 square miles (see below), making it the second largest river basin in Washington, and an important habitat for many of our native animal and plant species.
We welcome drawings, original photographs, maps, diagrams… the sky is the limit so long as your work is yours and focused on our Basin!
Subjects we suggest are local fish and bird species, native plants, descriptive maps of local forested areas, local landscapes, local geology, or any local site, species, body of water, forest, or scientific concept that you would like to share with your community.
Please see the following PDF pages for contest rules and entry form.
