CHEHALIS RIVER BASIN LAND TRUST
We are citizens, just like you.
We care about the
environment,
just like you.
We have joined together
to make a difference.
The health of the fish, wildlife, land and waters
in the Chehalis River basin are important to us. They support our way of
life; our economy and our recreation.
We believe that protection and
restoration today means a better future for all.

The Chehalis River Basin Land Trust is a group of citizens, a not-for-profit organization that helps land owners protect
the conservation values of their property in perpetuity. Conservation values include healthy streams and wetlands,
wildlife, forests and farmlands. The CRBLT is directed by a volunteer board which oversees its properties and projects.

WHAT WE DO
Typical Land Trust projects include the stewardship of conservation easements,
restoration of sites, educational programs and public awareness.
These
students are helping at
the riparian restoration site on the Chehalis River near Galvin. This was a cooperative effort
by the City of Centralia Utilities, The Chehalis River Basin Land Trust, The Salmon Recovery
Funding Board, and the Chehalis Basin Education Consortium.
The Chehalis River Basin Land Trust can hold a perpetual conservation easement on lands
significant to the basin. The land is also significant to the owner who will be confident
that the land is conserved in a natural condition. There are a variety of legal options
to protecting land; a conservation easement is just one. The Land Trust can help you
understand the options and make the right choice for your land.
