  PROTECTED LANDS       BROCHURE

In February 2006, the Chehalis River Basin Land Trust completed a Conservation Easement with donors for the protection of 14 acres along the Black River, south of Littlerock, in Thurston County. Additionally, the donors transferred title to an adjacent 6 acres and contributed a generous amount to the Stewardship Fund

This pond lies partly on the easement and partly on

neighboring parcel.

From an old railroad embankment, the pond can be seen

through the leaf-less alders of winter.

At the north end of the easement,

this large cedar has survived the

work of beavers.
